CNG, Phill & Natural Gas Vehicle Highlights
Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)

More than 99 percent of the natural gas used in the United States comes from domestic or other North American sources, which offers stability in fuel prices and lowers our dependence on foreign oil.

CNG is stored in thick-walled steel, aluminum, or composite tanks built to last more than 20 years.

CNG is produced at relatively low cost and is cleaner burning than gasoline or diesel fuel.

Phill (A natural gas Home Refueling Appliance)

Designed to be installed either in a garage, a carport, or outdoors with consumer vehicles in residential environments.

Takes four hours, on average, to replenish the fuel consumed in 80 km / 50 miles of driving based on a vehicle consumption rate of 8 liters per 100 km or 30 mpg ( US).

Uses less electricity than most small kitchen appliances (800 watts).

    Weighs approximately 43 kg. / 95 lbs.

Designed and certified for use with pipeline quality natural gas only.

 Natural Gas Vehicles (NGV)

•     Safer than other vehicles, natural gas is lighter than air. Its vapors will rise into the atmosphere away from its source in the event of an accident.

•     Natural gas vehicles (NGVs) are seen as the perfect bridging technology to hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.   Because natural gas is likely to be a major source of hydrogen fuel, NGV refueling infrastructure is poised to service fuel cell vehicles in the future.
