John Price and associate diagnosed the fan that stopped working abruptly, found the electrical connection was fine, and replaced the old fan (motor dead) with one we had purchased earlier. They found an outdated electrical box used by the original owner. They helped bring down our ladder and took away all the old parts after asking. They did a great job, communicated well with hard of hearing/stroke aphasia. Excellent service and pleasant technicians.

I Have Had Fox for 25 Years Mar 31, 2026

Fox Service and the plumber from Fox Service were great! They moved us up in the line when they had an opening. The plumber fixed the problem, which took a while, then he stayed to make sure there was hot water! He was very nice and easy to talk to! UPDATE - Yesterday we had our AC inspection. We knew we likely needed a new unit. The Fox Service guys explained the features of different options really clearly, and also how they test to make sure the lines inside the walls are still fine. I have had Fox for 25 years and they have never let me down! UPDATE: Really good furnace inspection! Ramiro Espinosa was thorough. He identified a minor part that needed to be replaced, and he replaced it while here. Excellent service! UPDATE: Caleb Anderson is an excellent tech. He just installed new plenums (ductwork) in the attic for my upstairs furnace/AC unit. He was very nice to deal with, explained everything well, and they left the house tidy! Much appreciated! UPDATE (Jan 19, 2026): We needed electrical updates -- electric panel (box) upgrades, GFCI outlet replacements and some additional ones, added wireless smoke detectors, etc. Olin Torres did the first phase of the work (garage electric panel upgrade, GFCI outlet replacements). He and his helper were efficient. The work looks great -- neat and carefully labelled. His explanations are clear. UPDATE (March 31, 2026) Wayland is a great technician. He came to top up the refrigerant. He re-checked everything and gave me a clear explanation!

Project Foreman Evaluation: Caswell House Renovation Reflection on John Price's Role as Foreman I wanted to take a moment to gather my thoughts on how John performed as the foreman of our project at the Caswell House. Background of the Caswell House. As you may or may not know, the Caswell House, located at 1404 West in downtown Austin, was built in 1899. Over the decades, it has changed ownership several times. Since 1978, the house has been under the stewardship of the Austin Junior Forum, a women’s service organization dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable members of our community—including women, children, and the elderly. The Caswell House allows us to host community events and raise funds in support of our 501(c)(3) mission. I have been a member of the Austin Junior Forum since 2023 and have served as the building manager since late December 2024. In that time, I have interacted with every person who comes through our doors, including many service providers. Among all those I have worked with, John and his crew have been the best and most professional. The Importance of the Electrical System Updates Currently, we are updating several aspects of the Caswell House, with the electric system being one of the most critical improvements. From the moment John and his outstanding crew arrived and I gave them a tour (it truly must be seen to be believed), I knew how fortunate the Austin Junior Forum was to have Fox and John overseeing our project as foreman. John’s Professionalism and Expertise John is highly knowledgeable in all aspects required to complete his daily responsibilities. More notably, he has a strong desire to explain and teach, sharing his knowledge with both the customer and his crew. His team is fortunate to have him as their leader. Attention to Detail and Trust John and his crew's attention to detail is exceptional. He is incredibly skilled, and Fox is extremely fortunate to have him on their team.
